Hi, I'm Kate.

As your therapist, I promise to join you on your journey with empathy and insight. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a client-centered and holistic approach, blending elements from Gestalt, Humanistic, ACT, and Depth psychology. I'm committed to helping you uncover and understand the patterns that may be limiting you, offering a warm, empathetic, and sometimes humorous environment to facilitate your growth.

With a master's in counseling from Regis University, Denver, and a background in biology and nursing, I embrace lifelong learning and the belief in our endless capacity to evolve. When I'm not counseling, you'll find me enjoying nature, cycling, cooking nutritious meals, and cherishing moments with my family and pets.

Online or in-person, this is designed for individuals to process and explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Typically, meetings are weekly or bi-weekly. Free 20 minute initial phone consultation.

FAQs

  • If this is your first time seeing therapist, it can be a little intimidating. During our first session I will allow time to get to know you and what is going on in your life that brings you to therapy. I will most likely ask more questions than I normally would to get a better understanding of your unique story. It may take more than one session for you to tell your story. That’s okay. We will take it at a pace that is comfortable for you.

  • As a therapist, it is important to me that I create an atmosphere that helps you to feel safe and at ease. I strive to create a space that allows you to feel comfortable in sharing your story. My approach is generally non-directive. That means that I believe the answers lie within you. You are the expert on your life. We will work together to discover what works best on your healing journey. I will bring a sense of acceptance and compassion to help you feel seen and heard.

  • Many clients share that they feel a little better after the first session. Sometimes it can feel like the weight is being lifted off our shoulders when we tell someone our story. But each client is unique. During our initial session we will work together to set goals for our time together. We will check in with those goals every few weeks to ensure that our work together continues to progress towards your health.

  • My office is in the peaceful neighborhood of Congress Park in Denver. There is plenty of free street parking. When you enter the building, walk up the stairs to the waiting area on the second floor. I’ll meet you there at your appointment time.

  • I do not take insurance. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card.
